  • The Biggest Flaw in Fujifilm XPro3 and other cameras No One Talks About is the clearly the same thing that people love about Fuji cameras.
I've searched all over youtube and I can barely find anyone who talks about the buffer times depending on which film simulation you're using. Fujifilm simulations are one of the biggest selling points for the company and I honestly believe that before ANY camera hits the market it should be able to handle the MAX capacity of any combination of features on the camera (especially if we're not shooting in any extensive burst photo modes)
All in all it doesn't ruin the shooting experience but it can definitely stop you from getting that perfect shot if you're not precise.

Has anyone else experienced this on your fuji camera once you added a certain film simulation? If anyone has anytips on how to cut down the buffer time or make it stop altogether please let me know!
    Thanks for tuning in!

Hi, to my knowledge is a well known topic, is not really buffering but processing of the clarity if set different to 0. So to avoid it put it to 0 and do it in post also on JPEG give it a try to be sure.

Correct! Just swap the clarity back to 0! Looks better than way anyway imo.

If you set your drive to continuous shooting, this problem goes away, it will buffer in the background, unless you're trying to preview the shot right after. I have mine set to 3FPS continous shooting at all times because of this, and any higher FPS i will accidentally take multiple shots when i dont mean to

You are the Goat for this comment. I normally have it set to single shot just because I hate taking extra shots by accident but I'm gonna give this a go! Thank you so much!

@@DevDooleyI was going to say the same thing. I shoot only raw and I noticed that it took like two seconds of buffering when in single shot mode so I randomly changed the Drive to continuous and selected 3 fps and the buffering just goes away plus at 3 frames per second you have to option of releasing the shutter after just 1 shot and this is how I’ve been rollin’ for the last 12 months.
Oh and don’t be folding out that view screen man 🤦‍♂️

It's the clarity that causes the buffering. It is very annoying but I have stopped using that while shooting and it does not happen. I use clarity in post production if I need to apply it.

I think its because your clarity is set to -5. If you set it to 0, it won't take long. Its the same for my fuji. I don't know why that happens though and I wish we could set it to 0 without the loading time.

Curious what SD card are you using? I recently bought a UH1 card and was wondering if it would be better to switch to the UH2 card for my Xpro3. Thank you and have a good day today. Keep up the hard work!!!!!

Currently, most Fuji model cameras are just about the most perfect most desirable cameras to own.
Every little once in a while, Fuji has an annoying little problem, but which quickly gets remedied -

It is hella annoying. Honestly, shipping a camera with a setting that slows down writing a photo to the card to over a second is insane. Makes the clarity setting nearly unusable in multiple genres of photography imo

Exactly it really doesn't make sense. But hopefully it's something that they'll fix in new iterations of Fuji cameras.

Hi .. First keep your clarity at 0 then try.
